About This Quiz

Being a pilot is no easy task. You need good eyesight and good reflexes. You need to be technically savvy and to have an instinctive grasp of the Bernoulli effect. You usually have to speak English (air traffic control is often handled in English irrespective of your nationality, for simplicity's sake) and you have to be able to manage a crew. You have to not be rendered insensible by a few extra multiples of G force, not be afraid of heights, and not be particularly sensitive to jet lag. You also need to be the sort of person who, when faced with a crisis in which your split second decisions may result in not just you dying, but you also taking several hundred innocent people with you (plus goodness knows how many on the ground), knows that they won't panic and that they will make the right decisions.

Once you have all that, then it's time to figure out what sort of plane you should be flying. Some of the smaller military planes even add a height component to the requirements, which you may also have to meet. Still, depending on your particular skills, preferences and personality, there's sure to be a jet out there that is right for you. Let's find it!
