About This Quiz

Being French isn't only about speaking the language; it's also a lifestyle and an attitude! Depending on where you are in the world, France or Quebec, the Ivory Coast or Senegal, French culture differs widely from location to location. This quiz focuses on the basics of being French: an appreciation for art and literature, a love of French cuisine, and an assortment of everyday phrases and vocabulary. Are you someone who knows the language but not the customs? Or a person who is infatuated with French New Wave cinema and exquisite pastries but doesn't have any idea how to speak or read the French language? Almost everyone has at least a little bit of the French spirit inside them — even if they don't think they know anything about what it means to be French!

Whether your concept of being French is related to Parisian French or Quebecois French, these questions will make you want to visit both locations — maybe even for an extended holiday. We highly recommend treating yourself to a freshly baked baguette and a piece of delectably creamy cheese while you ponder your answers, a simple "yes" or "no" answer is all that's required of you!
