World War II
While not specifically stated, it is likely that the Pevensie children were evacuated during Operation Pied Piper, which began on the Sept. 1, 1939. What is the name of the land they visit?
Neverland
Aslan’s Country
Narnia
The Pevensie siblings find themselves in the land of Narnia. While Lewis never confirmed or denied it, many suspect he got the name from the town of Narni in Italy, using its Latin translation of Narnia. Lewis did confirm that the landscape of Narnia was based on his native Ireland, Ulster in particular.

Who is the true leader of and the main source of good in Narnia?
Afghan
Aslan
Lewis once again drew on his love of linguistics when naming this character. During a trip to Turkey in 1922, he caught a glimpse of the Sultan's elite guard, praised for their bravery and loyalty. He later found out that these guards were called Aslan, a Turkish word for "lion."

In The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. How do the siblings get to Narnia?
Doorway at their school
Phonebook on the High Street
A tornado picked up their house and dropped it on the Witch.
Wardrobe at Professor Kirke’s house
While they were evacuated, the children stayed at the country estate of Professor Digory Kirke. This is important because, as a child, Kirke was the main character in The Magician’s Nephew. He brought a magic apple back from Narnia, a seed that grew into a tree. As an adult, Kirke built the wardrobe from that tree.

Peter
Susan
Edmund

Who is the first Narnian inhabitant Lucy meets?
Mr. Beaver
Mr. Tumnus
Like her reaction to Narnia, Georgie Henley's reaction to seeing Mr. Tumnus was genuine. While she had met James McAvoy (Tumnus) on set before, she had not seen him in full costume until that moment.

Edmund was the second to arrive in Narnia. Who was the first inhabitant to greet him?
Mr. Beaver
Aslan
The White Witch
The first Narnian face Edmund sees belongs to the titular Witch. While not often mentioned, the White Witch's name is Jadis, another one of C.S. Lewis's linguistic jokes. Jadis is a French word meaning "of old." Aslan and Jadis later discuss "the old magic" and Aslan tells Jadis his magic is older than hers.

How long has it been winter in Narnia?
25 years
100 years
Father Christmas explains to the three siblings that the White Witch has cursed Narnia for the past 100 years so that it would always be winter, but never Christmas. The Hundred-Year Winter, as Narnians refer to it, may have been inspired by the Norse legend of Fimbulwinter, or "Great Winter.". It, in turn, may have been George R.R. Martin's inspiration for the "Long Night in A Song of Ice and Fire."

What does Jadis the White Witch do to those who displease her?
Sets them on fire
Turns them to stone
Jadis, or as she often refers to herself, "Her Imperial Majesty Jadis, Queen of Narnia, Chatelaine of Cair Paravel, Empress of the Lone Islands," has the power to turn her enemies into stone. This power is known as petrification and has been used in storytelling as far back as the Greek legends of Medusa and as recently as J.K. Rowling's Basilisk in "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets."
Freezes them into ice sculptures
Dissintegrates them

Why does Aslan volunteer to die upon the stone table?
To annoy Jadis
To spare Edmund
While it probably did annoy Jadis a little bit, Aslan volunteered to take Edmund's place on the stone table of sacrifice to save the boy. However, he did so knowing his death would only be temporary. As he later explains to the children, “If the Witch knew the true meaning of sacrifice, she might have interpreted the deep magic differently. That when a willing victim who has committed no treachery is killed in a traitor's stead, the stone table will crack, and even death itself would turn backwards.”
He was tired and wanted a nap.
He stole from the Witch and felt super guilty.

After the Pevensies are crowned Kings and Queens of Narnia, they rule for 15 years until they happen upon the lamp post that returns them home. What were they chasing that brought them to the lamp post?
A blue dragon
A white stag
While never explained in the movie, the significance of the white stag is familiar to fans of the books. The white stag is a powerful being that grants wishes, and the Pevensies wish to capture it for its power. It may also have deeper symbolism. Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scouts, once said in a 1933 speech that "Hunters of old pursued the miraculous stag, not because they expected to kill it, but because it led them in the joy of the chase to new and fresh adventures, and so to capture happiness." It could be interpreted that the stag led the Pevensies home to new adventures and a way to find happiness in their world.
A black horse
A yellow centaur

1 year
100 years
500 years
1, 300 years
Upon returning to Narnia, the Pevensie siblings find out it has been 1,300 years since they left Narnia, and they are dismayed at what has happened in their absence. While not significant to the plot, 1,300 is an interesting number, as it is the sum of the first four fifth powers, and is Mertens function zero.

How much time has passed in the real world?
1 month
1 year
One year has passed in the real world between the end of the first film and the beginning of the second, placing this story in approximately 1942. While the book does not delve too deeply into how the Pevensies felt about going back to childhood after having been adults, the movie discusses it in more detail. The screenwriters have said that C.S. Lewis "doesn't much consider what it would be like for a King of Narnia to return to being a 1940's schoolchild" and so they wanted to create that conflict for Peter.

What does Caspian do to unknowingly summon the Pevensies?
Dials the wrong number
Blows Queen Susan’s horn
A magical horn that summons aid when it is blown may cause the audience to think of Tolkien’s horn of Gondor. This is not accidental. Tolkien and Lewis were quite good friends and often influenced each other's work.

Resurrects the White Witch

How do the Pevensies get to Narnia this time?
They walk through a phonebooth.
The wardrobe reopens.
They are sucked into a book.
A tube tunnel collapse brings them to Paravel.
When the siblings are about to be transported to Narnia, they are waiting for a train at Strand Station. This is another subtle nod to Lewis' love of Nordic language and culture, as in many languages such as Norwegian, Swedish, and German, the word "strand" means "beach." When the Pevensies emerge at Cair Paravel, they find themselves standing on a beach.

As a way to atone for the crimes of Miraz, Caspian's aunt Prunaprismia and her unnamed infant son volunteer to go.

Who accompanies Edmund and Lucy to Narnia?
Diggory Kirke
Jill Pole
Eustace Scrubb
With Peter and Susan being denied further entrance to Narnia, the torch now starts to pass to the Pevensies' bratty and brooding younger cousin, Eustace Scrubb, played by Will Poulter (Kenny in "We're The Millers," Gally in "The Maze Runner," and Jim Bridger in "The Revenant"). Diggory, Jill, and Polly all appear in the Narnia books but never made it to screen, since the series was discontinued after this installation.

A tube station collapses and leads them onto a Narnian beach.
A painting of a boat on an ocean fills the room with water and drops them in a Narnian ocean.
A painting of a boat fills the room with water, and the three children find themselves in a Narnian ocean where they are rescued by King Caspian and the crew of The Dawn Treader. None of the boat scenes were actually filmed on the open seas, as director Michael Apted heeded the warnings given to him by Gore Verbinski and Peter Weir to avoid doing so due to its unpredictability. A gimbal was constructed to rock the boat on set as if it were at sea.
They touch a magical ring and it pulls them into the throne room of Cair Paravel.
A vision of Aslan appears and they ride on his back into a Narnian forest.

What is Caspian’s quest?
To recapture a territory of Narnia lost during war
To shut down an illegal slavery ring on the outer realms of Narnia
To rescue the Seven Great Lords of Narnia
The significance of this quest is never really explained in the film but is very detailed in the book. The Lord Protectors could have ruled in Caspian’s stead when he was a child, so his uncle Miraz either facilitated their deaths in battle, had them murdered, or sent them on suicide missions. The Seven Great Lords were the only Lord Protectors left alive and Caspian wanted to find them to atone for Miraz’s treachery. However, the film only says that Miraz banished them and Caspian wanted to find them.
He doesn't have a quest, he just wants to sail.

What do the Seven Swords of the Seven Lords do?
Defeat the Green Mist of the Dark Island
The aspects of the swords and the Green Mist were developed just for the movie and are not a part of the book. The Green Mist preys on people’s worst fears. Her mother
Lilliandil
Susan
Lucy discovers a book of incantations and recites a beauty spell that causes her to enter a dream sequence where she is Susan, and Lucy does not exist. Eustace succumbs to the temptation of greed and transforms into ...
A dolphin
Edmund
His father
A dragon
As fun as it might sound to be a dragon for a while, this is portrayed as a negative consequence and plays into the Christian symbolism of the books. In many Christian paths of theology, dragons are seen as equals to serpents. Eustace turning from a human into a dragon represents how he succumbs to sin and greed, and Aslan changing him back into a human symbolizes redemption and salvation.

Who enters Aslan’s Country at the end?
Reepicheep
Reepicheep, the swashbuckling mouse, enters Aslan's Country (a metaphor for Heaven) at the end of the film. In "Prince Caspian," Reepicheep was voiced by Eddie Izzard, but in "Dawn Treader" he was replaced by Simon Pegg. Director Michael Apted felt that Pegg's voice was more serious and mature -- and better suited the more experienced mouse -- after three years of adventures with the king.

Aslan tells the remaining Pevensie siblings that this is their last adventure in Narnia, much like he told their siblings in the previous film. He tells Eustace that he is welcome to return. At the end of the film, Eustace’s mother can be heard announcing that his neighbor, Jill Pole, has come over to visit. This was meant to be a way to segue into the next film, "The Silver Chair," where Eustace and Jill are the protagonists. However, disappointing box office sales led to the studio decision to discontinue the film series.
