About This Quiz

We've all heard the same old song. When someone is ready to live on their own, some naysayer goes ahead and tells them about how irresponsible they are. "Living alone is harder than you might think. Just wait until you have bills." They say it as though people don't know what bills are or how credit cards work. They say it as though the people ready to set off on their own are children ... which some of them are, but the negativity and sarcasm don't help the fact that people want to leave.

Although there are many things that are important to know before you live on your own (how to protect yourself, how to follow basic rules for the place you live, and how to pay rent on time), there are a lot of things that you can learn along the way (how to make sure you clean properly, how to cook something other than a grilled cheese sandwich, etc.). As a matter of fact, there are some people who currently live on their own who probably shouldn't. If you think you have what it takes to live on your own, answer these questions, and we'll let you know if you're ready or not.
